Planning
Ticon’s planning module contains the possibility to use the project planning as a basis for the project management. In contrast with the classic use, planning is an integral element of the total entity and is always up to date. Specification or estimation changes are updated instantly in the project planning, so consequences can be managed at once.
From global to detailed planning
The power of Ticon’s planning presents itself when used in combination with estimation. All data already entered in the estimation stage is used to build the project planning. Nevertheless the planning can have an entirely different structure than the estimate. This unique integration provides a much better insight into the impact of the project planning than usual.
Working with a tailored profile
It is possible to set up planning for different types of projects. The setup for a global planning is different from the setup of a detailed planning. Ticon provides the flexibility to define various profiles containing specific feature settings and screen settings. Different profiles may be used simultaneously.
Estimation-based planning
A project planning can be based on an estimate. Either automatically or manual. It is always clear which estimation items have been used in the planning.
Total insight using detailed project planning
It is possible to create detailed project schedules, based on an overall planning either automatically or manual. From within the overall planning, the completeness of the deriving detailed schedules is always visible.
Information at hand using the procurement planning
A special form of planning is the procurement planning. This planning is generated based on a work schedule and the estimate. Thus a schedule of all activities required for purchasing goods and sub-contractor’s contracts is available.
Quick insight of needed resources
The planning always provides insight in the required resources in a time span. The estimate is the source for required quantities and the project’s time span.
Import & export from or to external planning systems
Clients or other parties concerned, could be using a different planning system. Ticon can exchange data with a great variety of programs. For instance, a standard import/export facility for MS Project is provided.
