Version Control
All data models contained by the Virtual Construction Model have version control. Stages are an element of version control. Each estimation can have multiple versions. Each version can be in a different stage, either Final or Provisional. Various processes may be controlled based on versions and stages, e.g. authorisation of processes.
Working with multiple versions
A single data model might contain multiple consecutive versions. A final version and a consecutive version still being in progress, is a very common situation, for instance. Version control provides instant access to every version wanted.

Stages are flexible
A model´s version can have one or more consecutive stages. E.g. a project planning could derive from Under Construction through For approval to Final. Stages are organisation dependable and therefore user defined. Ticon provides the means to define the stages the way you want them. It is possible to trigger additional processes when a stage derives to a consecutive stage. E.g. when approving an estimation or a planning. Controlling these processes is organisation dependable and completely user definable.
