Integration 3D CAD
Integration with 3D CAD is crucial for making BIM a succes. Ticon uses the object data and their relations saved in the 3D CAD model to build an object tree. The actual process control within Ticon is based on the data in the object tree. Within Ticon the 3D CAD data can be completed with additional information.
Standard IFC import
Ticon uses the internationally standardised IFC format as a default. Most 3D CAD applications communicate using this format.
The BIM Server: extensive possibilities
Ticon uses the Open Source BIM server. The BIM server allows maintaining multiple IFC models. The BIM server can provide detailed model information to other systems. Ticon extensively uses this feature.
Visualisation of project data using 3D Viewer
When using the BIM server, Ticon provides views of 3D information on all applicable places, with a special 3D Viewer. With this viewer the link between project data and the visualisation of the design is always and everywhere available.
