Open interface
Metacom has a very advanced mechanism for communicating with other systems. Standard interfaces are available for Document Management Systems, Project Management Systems and Business Process Management systems. Additional interfaces can easily be defined.
Stable Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) interface
The interface technology is based on an internal Enterprise Service Bus. This technology makes stable and scalable communication with other systems possible. The external systems can be located anywhere as long as they are online.
Various data formats
For the standard interfaces Metacom uses standardised and documented data definitions based on UBL (Unified Business). This is an open standard for Business applications data transmission. The ESB contains a conversion mechanism that allows converting deviant data formats of external systems to the Metacom format.
Integration
These interfaces are working together that seamlessly, that users won’t notice that multiple systems are running in the background. Therefore the user experience will be that of working with a single system.
